St. George’s University invites applicants for the position of DRIVER within the Transportation Department Job Description Objective Drivers within the transportation department are responsible for operating SGU buses to transport students, faculty, staff, and other authorized personnel, in a safe and controlled manner. Drivers play a pivotal role in enhancing the student success by providing a safe and reliable service along pre-determined routes to and from campus. The driver is expected to conduct himself in a professional manner which reflects the ethos of St. George’s University. Essential Functions Communicate with passengers and employers regarding delays or any issues along a route. Complete a daily vehicle inspection sheet prior to operating any SGU vehicle. The completed sheet is to be handed to the duty supervisor once completed. Should maintenance or cleaning be required, you are to inform your supervisor immediately and list any such issues on the daily inspection form
